Honington Grange Terms and Conditions

(Incorporating Mayflower, April Cottage, Pippin, Bramley & Discovery)


Arrivals and Departures

Our check in time is from 3 pm on the day Our check in time is from 3pm on the day of arrival and check out by 10am on day of departure.  Arrival before 3pm can be accommodated subject to availability, however housekeeping or maintenance may still be in attendance. 


Payment

For April Cottage, Pippin, Bramley and Discovery, an initial deposit of 10% will be required to secure your accommodation and the outstanding balance (including housekeeping / breakage deposit) must be paid 4 weeks prior to your arrival date.

For Mayflower an initial deposit of 30% will be required to secure your accommodation and the outstanding balance (including housekeeping / breakage deposit) must be paid 8 weeks prior to your arrival date.

Guests are advised to take out cancellation and holiday insurance at the time of booking.

We are pleased to accept payments by Stripe (Credit & Debit Cards) and Bank Transfer. 


Security Deposit

A security deposit is required per cottage booked which will be returned to you within 14 working days of your departure (breakage, loss, damage or any other breach of our Terms & Conditions permitting).

This is set at £200 each for April Cottage, Pippin, Bramley and Discovery which will be increased to £500 for stays with pets longer than 1 week.  For Mayflower this will be £1,000 and £1,500 for stays with pets longer than 1 week.

Breakages, damages (including bed wetting), missing items and non-return of keys will be chargeable. Please note that we will charge an administration fee in addition to the replacement cost of any item or service. 

Guests are liable for loss and damage caused to the owners property and contents to the full value of the owners loss even though the value of the loss exceeds the damage deposit.

Please note that unless you notify us otherwise at commencement of your stay, all breakages and shortages will be your responsibility and charged accordingly.


Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel the booking, you must notify Honington Grange in writing.

A booking can only be cancelled prior to the start of a letting.

In the event that a cancellation is made then a cancellation charge is payable depending on the number of days before the booking start date that Honington Grange have received the Cancellation Notice. The Cancellation Charges are set out below:

0 to 28 days of check in – no refund

29 or more days of check in – 10% of deposit retained

If the cancelled booking is re-let further refunds will be given at the discretion of Honington Grange

Guests are advised to take out cancellation and holiday insurance at the time of booking.

Full refunds will be made for cancellations made within 24 hours of booking.

Please note refunds for cancellations or payments made in error can take up to 30 days to be processed and will be subject to a processing fee.


Smoking Policy

In order to minimise the risk of outbreak of fire there are a number of important measures to remember:

  • All properties operate a strict ‘No Smoking Policy’ indoors.
  • Smoking includes the use of electronic cigarettes or vaping.
  • Each property has a clearly defined designated smoking area and smoking is only permitted in these specific areas.
  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere else on these sites.
  • Dispose of matches and cigarettes carefully and only in the smoking bin provided.

Fire Action

Smoke detectors are provided for your safety and must not be disabled, covered or altered in any way.
If you discover a fire (all properties):

  • Raise the alarm and ring 999
  • If safe to do so, tackle a small fire with the fire extinguisher provided. Do not put yourself at risk.
  • Evacuate the property and ring 01400 259429 or 07970 501699.
  • Do not stop to collect belongings.
  • Proceed to the fire assembly point shown on the fire plan.
  • Do not return to the building unless instructed to do so.

This is located at the entrance to the Honington Grange Car Park.

April Cottage
This is located at the entrance to the property.

Mayflower
This is located at the entrance to the property.


Exits

On arrival to the properties please familiarise yourself with your surroundings and note where exits are located in the building.


Fire Drills

Pippin, Bramley & Discovery Only:
We will confirm in advance if any fire drills are programmed during your stay.

All Properties: Please treat any fire alarm as live and accurate unless you are notified to the contrary.


Emergency Services

If you have contacted the emergency services directly for any reason, please inform Reception of the situation on 01400 259429 or if it is closed telephone 07970 501699. This will assist us and prevent any delay to the emergency services finding you.


Dangerous Items

You may not bring or use any fireworks (including sparklers), knives, firearms, air weapons, archery equipment, illegal substances or similar items under any circumstances.


Clinical Waste

Please do not dispose of clinical waste in the normal refuse.


Allergies and Special Dietary Requirements

We cannot guarantee that any food which we provide is free from any allergen due to the potential for inadvertent contamination.


Lost Property

Foodstuffs will be disposed of on day of departure. All other items will be kept for a maximum of two months. Postal charges will be payable to return goods left in the cottage.


Security

Your personal belongings are your own responsibility during your visit. Do not leave property unattended or unsecured.

Always lock your car with valuables removed.

Honington Grange can take no responsibility for lost or stolen items.


Pets

As animal lovers ourselves we know how lovely it can be to stay with your pet and well-behaved pets are very welcome with up to 2 pets permitted by prior arrangement.

In order to ensure the safety of your pet and other guests whilst visiting our accommodation please note the following:

  • Pets are to be kept under control at all times.
  • Your pet must be fully house trained.
  • Pets are not allowed on the beds or furniture.
  • Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pet – we encourage the use of our poop-scoop bucket which is regularly emptied and is more environmentally friendly than bags.
  • Any fouling of internal areas to be professionally cleaned and the cost borne by the Guest.
  • Any fouling of lawns, paths or outside surfaces to be cleared up without delay by the Guest.
  • If your pet must be left alone for a short period within the accommodation and likely to get distressed and cause damage please use a suitable size safe crate.
  • Pets are not to be left alone at any time within the grounds or any other outside area.

Honington Grange does not accept liability for any loss, damage or illness to your pet. Guests are responsible for any property damage resulting from their pet(s) and Honington Grange reserves the right to charge an amount commensurate with the cost of such damage following an inspection upon departure.


Children’s facilities

We can supply a travel cot or a child’s bed on request subject to availability and this must be requested at the time of booking.

Children are to be supervised at all times.


TV Apps & Amazon FireTVStick

Pippin, Bramley and Discovery only have an Amazon FireTVStick installed on their televisions for guests use during their stay which are registered to Honington Grange.  Please note that although you may log in to your accounts on the apps ie Netflix, BBCiPlayer etc, if you need access to your Amazon TV Prime account the FireTVStick must be de-registered from Honington Grange first and then registered to your own Amazon account – please contact Reception for further information.

Please note that guests are responsible for de-registering the FireTVStick from their Amazon account at the end of their stay as if we are unable to access the device and must purchase a replacement this charge will be deducted from their Housekeeping Deposit plus an additional administration fee. Guests are welcome to bring their own FireTVStick’s to use.

For all TV app’s accessed at Mayflower, April Cottage, Pippin, Bramley and Discovery – Guests are solely responsible for logging out of all TV apps accounts upon check-out and Honington Grange can accept no responsibility if guests leave accounts logged in which can then be accessed by others.


Out of Bounds Areas

Pippin, Bramley & Discovery Only:
Please note that during your stay, the main house, farm, stable area and fountain in the courtyard are strictly out of bounds.

It is important to remember Honington Grange is a working farm. Please restrict your movements to the cottage, gardens, carpark and central courtyard (excluding fountain) area only.

April Cottage Only:
Access to the heating oil tank is strictly prohibited – please contact 01400 259429 in an emergency.


Hot Tub Use (Mayflower Only)

The hot tub is strictly for guests use only whilst staying at the property.

The guests acknowledge that the use of the hot tub is at their own risk.

All guests must shower before using the hot tub and all traces of dirt, make up, moisturiser, creams etc must be cleaned from your body before use.

Do not put any substances into the Hot Tub ie oils or bubble bath etc.

Guest must not be under or appear to be under the influence of alcohol or any other substances whilst using the hot tub.

During pregnancy please seek doctors advice before use.

Anyone on medication must consult their doctor and if you have any health concerns, please consult your doctor before hot tub use.

Children under the age of 16 are strictly prohibited from using the hot tub, unless under strict supervision from adults at all times.

Do not eat or drink in or near the hot tub.

Do not dive or jump into the hot tub.

Honington Grange will not be liable for accidents, injuries, or death whilst using the hot tub this includes causes by misuse, falling over on wet surfaces or falling in or out of the hot tub, use whilst under the influence of alcohol or any other substances.


Parking

Please ensure that you park only in allocated areas.
Honington Grange can accept no responsibility for damage or theft whilst on the premises.


Privacy Policy

Honington Grange are committed to maintaining the privacy and security of the personal information held of our client’s and potential client’s bookings and enquiries.

Information that is provided to us regarding your booking or potential booking is used to enable your booking or enquiry to be completed, for statistical purposes, to complete customer services queries and for marketing purposes. All information and data that we collect is stored safely and securely.

The Honington Grange sites are monitored by CCTV for safety and security reasons only. All data images are stored safely and securely and are never sold, viewed, shared or passed on to any third party at any time.

Your details are shared with our credit/debit card provider only for the purpose of booking or security deposit payments only. Otherwise we never pass on, share or sell client or potential client information to any third party at any time.

Our website may have links to other websites which we believe might offer useful information and services. These sites are not covered by our Privacy Policy therefore we are not responsible for any other sites, website owners or any third party’s privacy policies or activities and urge you to check their practices before submitting personal or sensitive information.

We may use your name and contact details from time to time to tell you about offers and services which we think may be of interest to you. You can ask us to stop doing so at any time.


Breach of Contract

If there is a breach of any of these clauses by the Guest or any of their party, Honington Grange reserves the right to enter the property and end their stay and ask the Guest and their party to leave immediately.


Disclaimer

Neither Honington Grange or any persons acting on behalf of the establishment, accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to any visitors or any other persons, pets or property whatsoever.

Should you have any queries or problems during your stay, or wish to report any suspicious events or accidents, no matter how trivial, please contact Reception and we will be pleased to help.

Whilst we make every effort to ensure your safety during your visit, please remember that you remain responsible for the safety of yourself and others in your party, especially children and vulnerable people. We wish you an enjoyable and safe visit.

The Honington Grange Management reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions without prior notice and by booking with us you are deemed to have consented to the all of above conditions.
