Honington Grange is also a great base to pursue your favourite leisure activities – there are several local golf clubs within a 10-20 minute drive from here, you’ll also find some great cycle routes in the area, as well as karting, paintballing, bowling, fishing, parks & playgrounds or if you prefer to go walking in the local countryside. We have OS maps in all our cottages or can advise routes and there are some great dog friendly attractions nearby.
Belton Park Golf Club is one of the finest golf courses in the East Midlands with 27 challenging and attractive holes set in 240 acres of parkland in the heart of Lincolnshire. Enjoy superb views of the local National Trust landscape and see an abundance of wildlife including fallow deer which roam the course.
Stoke Rochford Golf Club lies 6 miles south of Grantham and is accessed from the A1 North bound. This Lincolnshire golf course is located in the picturesque parkland estate of Stoke Rochford and was formed in 1924 taking advantage of the naturally scenic environment.
You’ll find some great cycling and walking routes in the area to discover pretty villages and country lanes or just to enjoy a family bike ride or hike. The Discover South Kesteven website and GPS Cycle and Walking Routes will help you choose your next adventure!
Belton House is a great place to visit for all the family, whether you like wandering around the stunning gardens, getting an insight to the influential Brownlow family inside the beautiful house or working off some energy in the popular adventure playground. Dogs on leads are welcome in the grounds and there’s over 1300 acres to explore, with a variety of woodland, hills and streams.
Easton Walled Garden is a 400-year-old, 12 acre garden set in the heart of Lincolnshire. Easton Hall, the original house, was demolished in 1951 and the 400 year old garden was abandoned and fell into total disrepair. Since 2001, this ancient garden has been restored from an overgrown wilderness to the nationally important garden it once was.
Ancaster Leisure Enterprises is a huge multi-activity indoor and outdoor pursuits and activity venue; based in Ancaster and complimented more recently by the acquisition of another fantastic site near Grantham, in partnership with Belton Woods Q-Hotel at Belton.
Honington Grange is our main site with the Wellness Centre which is situated just off the Explorers Road, the A1, with many interesting places to visit nearby including the National Trust’s Belton House, Belvoir Castle, RAF Cranwell, Lincoln Cathedral, Lincoln Castle, historic Stamford, Burghley House and Southwell Minister.
April Cottage is in the village of Honington and Orchard Cottage is in the next village of Barkston.
Mayflower is located on the Norfolk coast in the peaceful village of Brancaster with the beach being just a 5 minute walk as is the famous Brancaster golf course with many unique shops and places to eat nearby.
Charges are per cottage on a self-catering basis including linen and towels.
